Prologue β How the Story Begins
In the very beginning, you will get familiar with the band or the leading characters in this play. Four friends with diverse sets of skills. Jason Statham as Bacon is a skilful crook that hustles different stocks on London streets, very persuasive person, a true salesman. Jason Flemyng plays the role of Tom, who is sort of the head of their little band.
Third is Nick Moran in the role of Eddy, the most skilful card player among them, who tried to make them all rich but spontaneously buried them with a half a million debt. The last is Soap, the only logically thinking being in the team and also the one against the illegal business. Soap is the one proud to be a hardworking restaurant chef.
They are small hustlers trying to make their living in the big city. Therefore, they decide that Eddy can make some money on poker. But to take a seat on the local illegal high-rollers table, he has to bring at least Β£100,000 with him. They all contribute Β£25,000 each, so he can enter and play.
Everything goes as planned before the owner of the place and a player on the table, Harry Hatchet, unfairly raises the bet knowing that Eddy doesn’t have the money to pay his end. Harry is the ruthless local gangster who can bury a guy just for fun. So Harry offers to lend Eddy the money so they can put the cards down and as you probably guessed, Eddy agrees.
As you can probably guess, Eddy lost that hand, and he and all his friends have seven days to pay back the half a million British pounds that they took from Harry. Did they collect the money and what happened after, you will find out soon.
The Plot β Main Action
This is how the four friends end up in big trouble with the largest fish in the pond. They are supposed to figure out a way to do the impossible β find half a million British pounds in 1 week. Even for great hustlers like them, this seems to be an impossible task. They heard their flawless criminal neighbours, led by a person called “the Dog”, contemplate a weed-growers’ robbery. So, our boys decide to rob the robbers. At the time it appeared to be a brilliant plan. But to complete it, they first need to acquire some guns.
They call their dear friend known by his nickname “Nick the Greek”. He delivered two old muskets that are not even semi-automatic, but at the low price of Β£700. The whole time they don’t realise that these two muskets are extremely expensive because they are antiques. However, the thing they didn’t know about the weed-growers is that they work for another local criminal savage called Rory Breaker.
And now to the main action, where it is getting messy. From this moment onwards the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels movie becomes a real blood bath. After Dog’s band successfully robbed the weed-growers, they went back to their lair. But they too didn’t know that these growers work for Rory Breaker. When Rory learned about the missing weed, he gathered several of his guys and went directly to the Dog’s hideout.
Meanwhile, our guys were sitting close to them, waiting for the right moment to rob the Dog’s band right after they finish with the growers. While Dog’s men were moving the cash and weed inside their place, our boys rushed in. They beat them up and take all the spoils. Happy from the fact that everything went smooth, they went to celebrate the win and think of how to get rid of the weed.
Epilogue β The Story Ends Here
After the failure, the Dog was furious at his crew. Violently he threw one of his guys at the wall. Then unexpectedly, he went over into another room where they found the money and the weed stolen from them. Yes, but they didn’t know that Rory’s band is coming to wipe them out. Fortunate for our main characters, they were not yet back in their lair when all of that happened. They arrived when everything was already over, and everybody was already dead.
Vinnie Jones in the role of Big Chris who is working for Harry was the person who was there at the right time so that he can take the weed, the muskets and the money to his boss. When our guys arrived, they found only dead bodies and no goods. Now they were back to square one again. But how does the movie end then? It is complicated, that’s for sure!
Well, the end of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels movie is definitely one that you won’t expect, it is a big mess. You probably don’t remember how in the very beginning we mentioned that these two old muskets were sold to our guys for only Β£700. The two imbeciles who sold them to the Greek supposed to deliver them to Mr Hatchet, but they never did, and because of that, Harry threatened them too.
So they decided that there is only one way out β to kill Harry. And they did, but they were both killed in the process. When Eddie went there to face the fate, he found only dead bodies the money they stole and the muskets they used.
Yes, but on the way out, after Big Chris saw his boss Harry dead, he decided to rob our guys and keep the money for himself. He left the two muskets in their possession, and an antique guns magazine where they saw that their worth is around Β£250,000-Β£300,000 each. This is how the epic Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels movie ends.
Memorable ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ Movie Quotes
The truth is that this is an epic production, and there are many Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels movie quotes that you will remember. The ones that we find most memorable and relevant we listed below. We can bet that if you watch it several times, each time you will have a different top 5 Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels movie quotes.
- Bacon: Right. Let’s sort the buyers from the spyers, the needy from the greedy, and those who trust me from the ones who don’t, because if you can’t see value here today, you’re not up here shopping. You’re up here shoplifting. You see these goods? Never seen daylight, moonlight, Israelite. Fanny by the gaslight. Take a bag, c’mon take a bag. I took a bag home last night. Cost me a lot more than ten pound, I can tell you. Anyone like jewelry? Look at that one there. Handmade in Italy, hand-stolen in Stepney. It’s as long as my arm. I wish it was as long as something else. Don’t think because these boxes are sealed up, they’re empty. The only man who sells empty boxes is the undertaker, and by the look of some of you lot today, I’d make more money with me measuring tape. Here, one price. Ten pound.
- Soap: A minute ago this was the safest job in the world. Now it’s turning into a bad day in Bosnia.
- Tom: Listen to this one then; you open a company called the Arse Tickler’s Faggot Fan Club. You take an advert in the back page of some gay mag, advertising the latest in arse-intruding dildos, sell it a bit with, er… I dunno, “does what no other dildo can do until now”, latest and greatest in sexual technology. Guaranteed results or money back, all that bollocks. These dills cost twenty-five each; a snip for all the pleasure they are going to give the recipients. They send a cheque to the company name, nothing offensive, er, Bobbie’s Bits or something, for twenty-five. You put these in the bank for two weeks and let them clear. Now this is the clever bit. Then you send back the cheques for twenty-five pounds from the real company name, Arse Tickler’s Faggot Fan Club, saying sorry, we couldn’t get the supply from America, they have sold out. Now you see how many of the people cash those cheques; not a single soul, because who wants his bank manager to know he tickles arses when he is not paying in cheques!
- Eddie: The entire British empire was built on cups of tea, and if you think I’m going to war without one, mate, you’re mistaken.
- Soap: Also, I think knives are a good idea. Big, f***-off shiny ones. Ones that look like they could skin a crocodile. Knives are good, because they don’t make any noise, and the less noise they make, the more likely we are to use them. Shit ’em right up. Makes it look like we’re serious. Guns for show, knives for a pro.
